What Do Girls Get From Girl Scouting?

Girl Scouting guides girls to become leaders in their daily lives, their communities, and the world — helping them become the kind of person exemplified by the Girl Scout Law.

When girls — as the Girl Scout Law states — are “honest and fair,” when they “use resources wisely,” act with inclusion by “being a sister to every Girl Scout,” and know how to be “courageous and strong,” they can be more successful in everything they do.
Building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
It may start in school and on sports teams, but research shows that the courage, confidence, and character they develop as Girl Scouts follows them throughout their lives. Girl Scouting has a practical approach to helping girls become leaders:
Outcomes of the Girl Scouts Leadership Experience
When girls DISCOVER, they:
  • Develop a strong sense of self
  • Develop positive values
  • Gain practical life skills
  • Seek challenges in the world
  • Develop critical thinking
When girls CONNECT, they:
  • Develop healthy relationships
  • Promote cooperation and team building
  • Can resolve conflicts
  • Advance diversity in a multicultural world
  • Feel connected to their communities, locally and globally
When girls TAKE ACTION, they:
  • Can identify community needs
  • Are resourceful problem solvers
  • Advocate for themselves and others, locally and globally
  • Educate and inspire others to act
  • Feel empowered to make a difference in the world

When we get it right, this is what girls experience:
fun with purpose!

Girl Scout Keys to Leadership
As a Girl Scout, there are lots of ways for girls to have fun, make friends, and do things that will have a positive impact on their life, school, and world. With the Girl Scouts, there's a whole world of new opportunities waiting for your daughter.

If your daughter would like to join Girl Scouts, please contact us and we will connect you with a Troop Leader.  Email us at crotongirlscoutscommunity@gmail.com or fill out our form.
