Skills today. Success tomorrow.

Learn new skills? Discover new passions? She’ll do all that and more at Girl Scouts! Whether she’s exploring nature and the outdoors, expressing herself through art or music, designing robots or board games, or helping her community through service projects, she’ll have a blast as she earns badges in just about anything that piques her interest. As a Girl Scout, she’ll discover who she is, what she’s passionate about, and what she wants to achieve — both today and in the future — in a place designed just for her.

Girl Scouts provides a safe, inclusive environment where girls of all ages from diverse backgrounds develop the courage, confidence and character to become leaders and make the world a better place.

About Our Community

The Croton Girl Scout Community serves troops within the Croton on Hudson, NY area and delivers the Girl Scout Leadership Experience program to girls in the Croton-Harmon School District. We are part of Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson and Girl Scouts of the USA.

We are made up of dedicated volunteers that lead troops ranging from Daisies (Kindergarten through 1st grade), Brownies (2nd grade through 3rd grade), Juniors (4th grade through 5th grade), Cadettes (6th grade through 8th grade), Seniors (9th and 10th grade) and Ambassadors (11th and 12th grade). The Girl Scout year runs from October 1 until September 30 but school-aged girls may join at any time and at any grade.

In Grades K-5, Girl Scouts earn badges, join a troop, hike and camp, and participate in the cookie program. In middle- and high-school, girls can also explore careers in science and technology, discover nature, and take on projects that transform their community.  But at every level, Girl Scouts have fun while making the world a better place!

In addition to individual troop meetings, our community is active with activities such as volunteering at our local races, celebrating our veterans, kicking up our heels at the Someone Special daughter dance, camping and exploring the outdoors, caring for the environment, helping the less fortunate with our annual food drive, and much more...

Building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
